Access Policy
Access to the library is limited to current and former students, staff and faculty, and to Drexel University students with a valid identification card and appropriate signatures from their institution. Other individuals may be permitted to use the library by contacting the librarian to make advance arrangements.
Borrowing Policy The majority of the collection is available for loan to current students in good standing, staff and faculty members. Some items are set aside as reserve or reference items; these items either may not be available for loan or may be borrowed only for shorter periods of time.
Interlibrary Loan
If there is something that you need that is not available in our library, let the library staff know and we will try to borrow it from an area library. Students also have borrowing privileges at Drexel. To borrow books from Drexel, please see the librarian to get a letter of approval; Drexel will then issue you a borrowing card.
Identification When borrowing library materials, students, staff and faculty should be able to present an identification card upon request.
Loan Periods
Loan periods vary for different materials; generally, materials
will be lent for a 21-day period. A due date will be stamped
in an item when it is checked out, indicating the date an
item must be returned or renewed. The number of renewals may
be limited.
Circulation Limit A total of 5 items at one time to each valid borrower.
Care of Library Materials Borrowers are responsible for returning library materials in good condition. Please refrain from marking library materials with ink or pencil, and please report any damage you discover.
Suggestions for New Materials If there are any materials that you think would be a good addition to the library's collection, please feel free to offer a suggestion to the librarian.
