As Phiadelphia's first college specializing in hospitality education, The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College educates more than 800 students each year. Founded by a restaurateur, chef, maître d', and educational specialist, the school's campus has been designed to support industry trends and educational goals. Its European Courtyard complex features open-to-the-public restaurants. This academic setting enables students to participate in a real-life kitchen setting and to manage front-of-house service. |
The school's student-run complex of eateries supports a range of menus in a European-style village square. Students learn about the industry in a theatrical space encompassing an American Heartland restaurant, an Italian trattoria, and a rooftop terrace that will showcase the students' conceptual restaurants. The Great Chefs Restaurant features dishes from the menus of the city's finest chefs--the chefs of Deux Cheminées, The Rittenhouse Hotel, Sonoma, Kansas City Prime, Arroyo Grill, Susanna Foo Chinese Cuisine, The Four Seasons Hotel, Jack's Firehouse, The Monte Carlo Living Room, Le Bec-Fin, and LeBus.
At The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College, the ambiance and intimacy of its academic setting is carried over into its students' residential life program. Old World charm meets a chic, urban lifestyle in what we consider our Residential Learning halls.
There is always something exciting happening at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College.
