The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College values its membership in the University City community and the greater Philadelphia surroundings. The college emphasizes to students the importance of this community bond by including Citizen Development hours as an integral part of their educational program.  Numerous opportunities are provided for students to participate in local fundraisers, charitable functions, walk-a-thons, and other industry and non-industry related events.
